Final Chance To Enrol at Derby College

Limited spaces are available on some of the vocational courses offered by Derby College at its campuses in Derby, Morley and Ilkeston.

For learners who meet the entry requirements, there are some spaces in Sport and Public Services as well as the Land-based study programmes at Broomfield Hall.

The Ilkeston campus has limited spaces available on the Construction and Early Years courses and the Joseph Wright sixth form centre has capacity on some of the Art & Design, Music, Performing Arts and Applied Science courses.

Meanwhile The Roundhouse in Pride Park has some places available for full time learners in Engineering, Construction and Professional Construction, Motor Vehicle, Hair and Beauty, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering, ICT and Travel and Tourism.

There are also a wide range of adult part time courses which have start dates throughout the year including Teacher Training evening courses.

And apprenticeships are available in a wide range of industries through the College.

Derby College Deputy Principal Anita Straffon explained: “All young people must now be in education, training or apprenticeships until they are 18 so it is important that they choose the right options for them as individuals after their GCSEs.

“The official enrolment period at Derby College has closed but we are still happy to talk to young people and to adults who may be still considering their future to give them impartial advice and guidance on the options available to them.”
